I'm transitioning my style with the change of the season with this DIY faux fur crossbody handbag. I'm using a jumbo pencil pouch that I got from the dollar store and some faux fur material from the craft store. I created a cute chevron pattern on the front of the bag and added gold hardware and a chain to finish off the look. Keep scrolling to find out how I made this trendy winter accessory!

DIY Winter Faux Fur Crossbody Handbag
Materials:
Jumbo Pencil Pouch
Black Faux Fur
Leopard Faux Fur
Gold Jump Rings
Gold Chain
Hot Glue Gun and Sticks
Scissors
Exacto/ Utility Knife
Directions:
Start by grabbing and cutting some faux fur into strips. (I used two different styles of faux fur). (Tip: you get less messy cuts using an exacto or utility knife).
Poke holes in the left and right top corner of the pencil pouch.
Add a large jump ring in each newly created hole.
Use the faux fur strips to cut smaller pieces and adhere the pieces onto the pencil pouch creating a chevron pattern by alternating prints/styles of faux fur.
Continue to add faux fur to cover the entire front of the pencil pouch using the chevron pattern.
Cover and adhere a solid color of faux fur to the entire back of the pencil pouch. (I clipped on some bobby pins to the edges during the drying time to keep the faux fur in place until it fully dried and adhered to the pencil pouch).
Then, add a chain to your desired length and attach it to the previously installed jump rings.
