Today I’m upgrading and personalizing a basic duffle bag. I'm enhancing and customizing a simple duffle bag, by applying iron-on patches and creating a tie-dye effect. I found a good sized affordable basic bag duffle bag for five dollars from Five Below. I'm using bleach and patches from the craft store to update this weekender bag for my daughter to use for activities and overnight. I love that these patches have texture. Take a look at the steps and transformation below!
Materials:
Basic Duffle Bag
Bleach
Chenille Iron-On Patches
Iron/ Heat Press

Step 1: Combine bleach and water in a reused spray bottle.

Step 2: Lightly mist the bag with the bleach and water mixture.

Step 3: Apply spray to every side of the bag.

Step 4: Arrange and position iron-on letters.

Step 5: Use an iron or heat press to attach the letters to the bag.

Step 6: Iron-on some heart patches and other decorative patches. Spread the patches to cover the back and sides.
