How to Create Stunning DIY Crafts Using Dollar Tree Burlap Fabric

Today's crafts are going to be all about burlap fabric. I am making multiple crafts and only using two rolls of burlap fabric from the Dollar Tree. I'm giving burlap fabric a sophisticated upgrade. I'm using the burlap material to create some cute accessories. These accessories look much more expensive than they cost. See how each of these were made below!

Burlap Travel Bag

Materials:

  • 2 Burlap Fabric Rolls

  • Hot Glue Gun

  • Felt Stick-On Letters

  • Velcro Adhesive

Step 1: Gather your two fabric rolls.

Step 2: Reach for a printed roll of burlap fabric. Cut off each of the sides where the fabric creases.

Step 3: Layer a plain piece of burlap fabric on top. Trace and cut to mirror the printed piece of fabric.

Step 4:  Glue the pieces together on the sides and the bottom. Make sure to adhere the pieces with the printed side face down.

Step 5:  Flip the bag inside out.

Step 6: Cut off the top layer of burlap fabric.

Step 7: Fold over and glue the edges of the flap for a more seamless look.

Step 8: Adhere a strip of velcro adhesive to the middle and the flap of the bag.

Step 9: Adhere the felt letters to the bag.

Travel Charger Roll Up

Materials:

Step 1: Use the previously cut side piece of printed burlap fabric from the travel bag. Lay the fabric piece printed side down and add hot glue.

Step 2: Adhere a piece of matching fabric printed side up.

Step 3: Adhere a piece of cut twine to the center end of the glued fabric that will be used as the closure.

Step 4: Cut square shaped plain burlap fabric and adhere to the edge of the printed burlap. (This will be used as a pocket for storage).

Step 5: Attach and stick another square of fabric to the opposite side.

Step 6: Roll the fabric up toward the twine.

Step 7: Adhere a felt letter to the bottom corner.

Burlap & Faux Leather Text Luggage Tag

Materials:

  • Faux Leather Material

  • Burlap Fabric

  • Felt Stick-On Letters

  • Hot Glue Gun

Step 1: Cut two tag shapes using faux leather material.

Step 2: Trace and cut the burlap fabric into the tag shape.

Step 3: Adhere both of the faux leather tags together to make it more durable.

Step 4: Punch a hole near the edge of the tag.

Step 5: Adhere the printed burlap fabric on top of the faux leather material.

Step 6: Stick on felt letters and insert twine into the punched hole.

Busy Bee Trinket Tray

Materials:

  • Frame

  • Printed Burlap Fabric

  • Hot Glue Gun

  • Scissors

Step 1: Detach a photo frame from the dollar store.

Step 2: Use the frame backer board to cut the exact shape of burlap fabric.

Step 3: Adhere the cut burlap fabric to the chipboard.

Step 4: Assemble the frame back together again.

Step 5: Adhere felt initials to the top of the print.

Now, you've created four different stylish accessories using only two rolls of burlap fabric from the dollar store. My favorite DIY from this collection is the travel bag!
