I'm using a pencil case from the dollar store to create a beyond cute fringe clutch. This is the perfect eye-catching accessory for any going out or party outfit! I purchased fringe trim from the craft store and completely covered a pencil case to make a stylish and functional handbag clutch. Look to see how I made it below!
What I Used:
Fringe/Tassel Trim ( I used about 7 yards)
Pencil Case
How I Made It:
Step 1: Grab a pencil case and add one line of glue horizontally to the bottom of one side of the case.
Step 2: Add the top border of the fringe trim to the glue to adhere the fringe trim to the case. Cut off the extra fringe trim.
Step 3: Continue to add new rows of fringe trim following steps 1 and 2 as you move upwards to the top of the case.
Tip: Try and make sure the fringe tassels stay free of glue to give the loose fringe effect.
Step 4: Flip the case over and start adhering fringe to the back of the case after the fringe covers one entire side. (Make sure to allow the glue to dry completely on one side before turning it over to complete the other side).
Step 5: Follow the same process for adhering fringe on the back side. Don't forget to not add fringe to the area where the cases closes. This will allow the clutch to still be functional.
And now you have an easy show stopping clutch! This clutch is perfect for a night out and was easy and affordable to make! Try it out! Come say hi and tag me @Craftingwithcass on Instagram if you decide to create your own! Share this DIY and Subscribe to the blog for everything DIY and NEW updates!
